Common Auto Repair Questions
An express oil change runs about $35 to $95, depending on whether you take conventional, synthetic blend, or full synthetic oil, and your engine size. Most are done in under 30 minutes with a quality filter. We tell you which oil your vehicle needs.
If your AC blows warm but holds pressure, a recharge is the fix. If it leaks refrigerant, cycles on and off, or the compressor is noisy, it needs repair. We test the system, find the real cause, and tell you which one it is before any work.
Squealing, grinding, a soft or pulsing pedal, or a longer stop all point to brake wear. So does a dashboard brake light. Catch it early and you replace pads; wait and you are into rotors and calipers. We inspect the brakes and show you what we find.
Most vehicles need a tune-up every 30,000 to 45,000 miles, but your owner's manual sets the real schedule. Newer cars stretch it further; older ones need it sooner. If the engine idles rough, hesitates, or loses fuel economy, it is time regardless of the mileage.
A slow crank, dim lights, or a dashboard battery warning are the usual signs, and most batteries last three to five years. Texas heat is hard on batteries, so they fail sooner here. We test the battery and charging system before it strands you.
If you see green, orange, or pink fluid under the car or the temperature gauge climbing, stop driving and have it checked. A coolant leak left alone can overheat the engine. We pressure-test the system, find the leak, and fix it before it costs you an engine.
